Lawn Irrigation Systems in Bethesda, Potomac & Cabin John

Hughes Landscaping designs, installs and services lawn irrigation systems for homeowners in Bethesda, Potomac, Cabin John, Poolesville and surrounding Maryland communities. A properly designed system helps lawns, planting beds and landscape areas receive consistent water while reducing the time and waste associated with manual watering.

Irrigation Designed for the Property

Every landscape has different watering needs. Sun exposure, soil, slope, turf, trees, shrubs and planting beds all affect how an irrigation system should be laid out. Hughes plans zones and watering coverage around the actual site rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.

• New irrigation system design and installation
• Zone planning for turf and planting beds
• System repairs and adjustments
• Seasonal startup and shutdown
• Controller and schedule optimization
• Coordination with new landscaping and outdoor projects

Protect New Landscaping

New lawns, trees, shrubs and planting beds often perform better when watering is planned from the beginning. Hughes can coordinate irrigation with landscaping, lawn renovation and planting projects so the system supports the investment being made in the property.

For larger renovations, irrigation can also be incorporated into Hughes’ design-and-build planning.

Efficient Watering Without the Guesswork

Automated irrigation can improve consistency, reduce overwatering and make routine landscape care easier. The goal is not simply to run sprinklers—it is to provide the right amount of water to the right areas at the right time.

When Irrigation Should Be Planned With Other Work

Irrigation is easiest to coordinate before new planting, lawn renovation, patios or other construction disturb the site. Planning zones, sleeves, controller locations and access alongside the larger project can reduce rework and help the system serve the finished landscape more effectively.
