About Hughes Landscaping
Hughes Landscaping was founded in 1983 by Maryland native John Hughes and has grown into a full-service landscaping, outdoor construction, drainage and tree-care company serving homeowners and businesses throughout Montgomery County and nearby Maryland communities.
Built on Long-Term Experience
Hughes has built its reputation around personal attention, experienced crews and coordinated outdoor services. Many members of the company’s account-management and field teams have spent years working within the Hughes organization, bringing continuity and practical property knowledge to each project.
That experience matters when a project crosses disciplines. A drainage issue may affect a patio plan. Tree work may need to happen before landscape installation. Irrigation may need to be coordinated with planting and grading. Hughes can bring those pieces together under one team.

One Team for the Entire Property
Hughes provides landscape design and maintenance, hardscaping, drainage solutions, irrigation, tree services and outdoor-living construction for properties in communities including Potomac, Bethesda, Cabin John and Poolesville.
Whether the need is ongoing property care or a larger design-build project, the goal is the same: create a functional, attractive outdoor environment that is planned correctly from the ground up.
